OOPS MAGAZINE

Oops is an independent editorial project exploring the role of mistakes in the creative process. Built around the idea “Oops, then wow,” the magazine challenges a culture focused on polished outcomes and turns the attention towards everything that usually remains unseen: failed attempts, creative blocks, unexpected turns and the uncertainty behind making something.

Its first issue, Ctrl + Z, plays with the familiar desire to undo our mistakes and asks what happens when, instead, we choose to learn from them. Through original articles, interviews, photography and stories from across the creative world, Oops explores how errors can become opportunities for experimentation and lead to unexpected, genuine and more personal solutions.

The creative direction translates this idea into an editorial language that embraces experimentation, humour and imperfection. Typography, photography and expressive layouts coexist with fold-outs, inserts and interactive elements, while a sticker pack and curated playlist extend the identity beyond the magazine itself. Rather than simply talking about mistakes, the publication allows them to shape the way it looks, feels and communicates.

At its core, Oops is a celebration of the messy and deeply human side of creativity. A reminder that good ideas rarely arrive perfectly formed, and that trying, failing and trying again are not interruptions to the creative process, but part of it. Sometimes, a wow starts with an oops.

The project received Second Prize in Graphic Design at Creamurcia 2025 and Third Prize at the International Design Awards 2025, and was also featured by Behance in both Editorial Design and Adobe InDesign.
