Velvet Botanics is a London-based fragrance and home care brand that celebrates the art of living with authenticity and freedom. Inspired by the timeless elegance of the early 20th century, each Velvet Botanics creation is a tribute to sophistication and love of self. Our mission is to capture moments of introspection and self-affirmation through exquisite fragrances and air fresheners that transform any space into a haven of well-being.
TECHNIQUE AND ART IN EVERY DETAIL
This products stand out not only for their unique aromas but also for
their artistic presentation. Using the intaglio technique, I've designed
packaging and labelling that are true works of art. This technique, which involves creating incisions in a metal foil to contain ink that is fixed to the paper, reflects our commitment to quality and beautiful craftsmanship. Each bottle is a unique piece that complements the exclusivity of our fragrances and home products.
FLORAL SILK: A PERFUME WITH HISTORY
One of the signature perfumes, Floral Silk, has a deeply emotional story. Imagine an English woman in the early 20th century, caught between her social duties and her innermost desires. On the eve of her wedding, confused by her feelings, she decides to run away to find herself. She carries with her the perfume Floral Silk, whose scent accompanies her on her journey to freedom.
In the art direction, I’ve captured this crucial moment. The images evoke her flight and her emotions, with elements such as a letter from her fiancé, flowers from her wedding bouquet, rings and other jewellery. A mirror appears in the scene, symbolising the duality of her reality: what she could have been and what she chose to be. This reflection of two realities encapsulates the essence of Velvet Botanics: the celebration of self-love and the freedom to be true to oneself.
